Is it time to move your encaustic practice to the next level? LET'S DO IT !!! This workshop is being offered due to the overwhelming requests for MORE. More information, more creative possibilities, more one-on-one teaching and hands-on time with an experienced encaustic artist/instructor. This will be a relaxing and play-filled day just for you. No stress. The best way to learn is by hearing and doing. Come join me. It's going to be a GREAT DAY!

 

Some things you can expect: 

  • Work with plaster, metallic foils, India ink, alcohol inks, Pan pastels, graphite, various water soluble media, oil sticks and much more.

  • ​Learn to incise the wax and fill in those incisions with various media

  • Learn to properly use a torch

  • Learn new image transfer techniques and also create your own transfer images

  • We will work under and on top of the wax.

This workshop is geared for those who have completed the 101 Encaustic Workshop or who have been working with encaustic for a while.

As always, you'll leave the class with four completed projects, a packet of useful written material and confidence to work with this extremely versatile medium. We'll cover fusing, tools, safety, laying down the wax, how to work under, within and on top of the wax layers. We'll play with a bit of mixed media and learn an easy image transfer process.
